Chris McLew is a fully qualified physiotherapist with both an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University. Since qualifying in 2023, he has worked with professional football teams including Motherwell FC and Glasgow City Womens Football Club. He has provided physiotherapy support to elite athletes across a wide range of sports.
Chris brings a unique perspective to his clinical practice through his own experience as a high-performance athlete. Chris brings a deep understanding of athletic performance and recovery, shaped by his own background in high-level sport. He is a former international skier, having represented Great Britain at junior level, and is also a decorated middle-distance runner, he has medalled at multiple Scottish Athletics Championships and is currently the Scottish record holder in the 3x800m relay. He continues to compete at a high level for Ronhill Cambuslang Harriers, balancing his professional career with a continued passion for athletics.
His background in competitive sport fuels his interest in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimisation. Having previously completed a diploma in sports massage therapy, Chris combines hands-on skills with evidence-based physiotherapy to deliver tailored treatment plans for each individual he works with.
