Axel graduated from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands in 2016. Directly after graduation, he started to work within a private physiotherapy clinic in the Netherlands. Throughout that period, he was able to learn a lot about musculoskeletal problems from well experienced colleagues. Throughout this period, he worked within elderly rehabilitation which gave him experience in setting personalised goals with patients.
After moving to Glasgow in 2017, he started his MSc in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University. While undertaking this course, he obtained physiotherapy experience within a professional football environment and also spent time working in a private clinic. In 2018, he started his second MSc in Advanced Practice.
Part of Axel’s motivation as a physiotherapist working within private practice is to have sufficient time to treat patients appropriately, understand their habits/lifestyles and help provide evidence based education to clients.
